Post Daily February Challenge Wrap-Up
For those that like hard numbers, I started at 9479 and ended up on 10,127 - swipe across to see stats. The 3 month graph is pretty compelling too - I actually started to write content in Jan and then amped this up in Feb - I think this was the predominant reason I had uplift.
Doing it with a group was a lifesaver. Accountability was key, support for posts was great; helpful tips and insights as we navigated the month and lovely friendships were made. At day two I freaked out, wondering how I was going to keep this up, especially since I'd coerced a bunch of girls to join me! The thing is you get inventive, and start to realise that everything can be used for content.
You need to focus on creating connection with your followers first. This builds trust and then you can start to talk about your offering - not the other way around.
Content is king - just start inviting people into your story - that's what creates connection. Yes it takes effort, but it's worth it. Simply invite people into your experiences, be honest, be authentic and people will relate and want to share their story too.
I kind of accidentally found my 'dear diary' posts got a lot of engagement - probably because I've tackled some tricky topics with a dose of honesty and humour. It was a total surprise, but now I have discovered a sweet spot for future posts. If you dig a little, you too can find a way to translate who you are and your experiences too.
I finally utilised the insights page (dumb I know for not looking at this earlier). So much good info like what time my followers are online - 6am as it turns out.
Get in front of that camera - for all you introverts out there just be brave and take photos with your art - it works. I have even started talking on stories - it’s just about showing up.
Should you do it, absolutely yes. Challenge yourself, grab a girl gang to do it with, if you don't have a group just put the invitation out there, they will come.
IG is free, with 2 billion users per month on the platform - so why not take advantage of it!
Hope that helped and love to hear your feedback too!
